Knit a fabulous shrug that doubles as scarf, shawl and even a cowl.....

The new Manning shrug shows off a repetitive open weave look that is a quick and easy to knit. All edges are kept in simple garter stitches. The yarn used here feels really comfy to wear and so I think that you and I will get lots of use out of this project. :)

The flat dimensions as shown here with extra long sleeves, as I like them to be are 64" in overall length and the height is 14.5". I have folded my sleeves over into a cuffs about 3" deep. You may want your sleeves to be shorter, so the pattern will give you guidelines on how many stitches might work for you to cast on.

Notions needed

• US size 10 (6 mm) circular needle 36" (91 cm) in length.
• 2 Stitch markers for marking the edges and optional 5 lockable markers for  seaming the sleeves to keep things straight.
• Tapestry needle for finishing.

Gauge:  16 sts and 18 rows in 4" of garter stitch, blocked. Counting 9 ridges.

Techniques applied: Knitting, purling two stitches together, stretchy bind off, weaving in ends, seaming the sleeves and blocking for best results.
